Why was my credit card declined?

There are various reasons why a charge attempted on your credit card may have been declined:

  • You may have insufficient funds available.
  • You've reached your credit limit.
  • Your card has expired.
  • Your account may be temporarily suspended due to suspicious activity.

When a charge we attempt is declined, we are never provided with the details about why. However, if you contact the bank that issued your credit card, they will be able to explain exactly why the transaction was declined. 

We will automatically attempt to charge your card again in a few days. If after 3 more attempts the transaction continues to be declined, your Kulture Shock account and website will be suspended until you log into your Control Center and add a new payment method.
